How do you remove old tea stains from clothes? Mix together equal amounts of white vinegar, laundry powder and water until you have a paste (youll need about two tablespoons of each). Use an old toothbrush to work the paste into the stain. Rinse the paste off. Repeat if the stain is still very noticeable.
Sprinkle with baking soda: If theres still residual oil or moisture, with the parchment paper in place, sprinkle baking soda to completely cover the stain. Let sit for a few hours or overnight, then gently brush off the baking soda. Let dry: Once youve removed as much of the stain as you can, allow the page to dry.
Some stains can often be improved with a kneaded rubber eraser or Absorene Paper and Book Cleaner. Knead a small amount of Absorene in your hand until it is soft and rub it lightly in one direction over the soiled surface. As it picks up the stain or dirt, knead it again to freshen it.
Mix one part bleach and two parts water. If any traces of tea stain remain on the paper, scrub the paper with this solution, using an old, but clean, toothbrush. Use a very light scrubbing motion to avoid ripping the paper. Remove the liquid from the paper by blotting with paper towels.

Place enough baking soda onto the paper so that it completely covers the stain and leave overnight. The baking soda should be in a relatively tall pile. If you can still see the paper through the baking soda, add more! Other non-staining absorbent powders will also work for this step.
Use a microfiber cloth and rubbing alcohol to remove stains and buildup. Rinse the cloth, wring it, and apply a drop of liquid dish soap. Wipe down the book cover and spine without getting the page edges wet. Use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe away any residue.
