Welcome to Dell EMC how-to videos: How to restore individual files from a backup stored on ECS Cloud, in reference to Dell EMC Support Solution Article 524692. Avamar 18.1 introduces File and Granular Level restores from ECS Cloud without the need to recall the backup. This new version is capable to read the data needed directly from ECS Cloud through Data Domain. This new feature is only intended to be used when restoring one or few files, but not for the entire backup. AWS and other Cloud providers are not yet supported. This video shows how to restore a single file from a backup stored on ECS Cloud. The requirements for the feature to be used are Avamar running version 18.1 or later, and Data Domain running version 6.1 or later.
