hey everybody today were doing a restoration on two vintage t-shirts we will be dying them black using red dye here im just showing you how faded they are because theyve been worn for many [Music] years [Music] this next gesture is pretty big as you can see has a lot of stains and im hoping the red dye will take those out it also has a bleach thing right here [Music] and a lot of fading in the color area [Music] so heres what im using is rit dye the powder form and the liquid form i really want to get these as a black as possible so im using both [Music] im also using a pot and just boiling water time is 2 30. so here im just soaking the shirts in hot water getting them ready to take in the dye [Music] so after setting the shirts aside im adding in my die use the whole packet of powder and half bottle of liquid giving that a good stir and then im adding the shirts in mixing them around making sure the dye is everywhere [Music] now i let these sit in the dive for about an hou
