How long will it take to get my wedding photos back? Most photographers take between four and six weeks to share your photos, though some may turn them around as quickly as two weeks and others take two months or so.
Plan on 3 minutes per group on average. For example, if you have 10 groups, schedule in a 30 minute time slot. We all know how much weddings mean to the immediate family, and we want to make sure were capturing enough pictures with them.
Depending on the photographers schedule, you could be waiting anywhere from three to twelve weeks to get your photos. The time it takes to receive your wedding images depends on numerous variables, such as the photographer, the photographers availability, and the total quantity of photographs shot on the wedding day.
We recommend allowing at least 60 minutes to photograph wedding details. This will ensure we have plenty of time to get that elegant and timeless photo of the dress, rings, shoes, bouquet, and other details of the day. Leidy likes to style the dress in a way that looks editorial.
The average wedding photography contract stated that wedding photos would be delivered 6-8 weeks after the wedding date. The average photo delivery time was closer to 3-6 weeks per wedding. 70% of the couples received at least 10 sneak-peeks (teasers) 1-2 weeks after the wedding day.
How many photos should a wedding photographer give? The short and simple answer is ~100 per hour of shooting or roughly 800 photos for 8-hour wedding day coverage.
If you have been waiting quite a number of weeks and the photographer said they would be ready by them, then first ask for an update, they could just be busy. Now if you dont hear anything back then re-read your contract, looks to see if there is anything about how long till you get your photos.
To give you an idea, the average number of pictures delivered by a wedding photographer for one hour is between 50 up to 100 wedding photos. Most of the time I will deliver 800 to 1000 digital files for 12-hour reportage.
