Q. What is a JOINid? A. The JOINid is an identifier that U of T applicants can use to log into certain websites, including: join.utoronto.ca : the online community and application tracking system for undergraduate applicants.
Use your SAK to activate your UTORid: Go to uoft.me/activate-utorid(opens in a new tab)(opens in a new tab) Enter your JOINid + SAK. Set up your UTmail+ account. Set up your UTORid password and account management options.
Your JOINid was forwarded to you in an email from the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) at the beginning of the application process. If you did not receive this information, or if you have forgotten your JOINid, please contact admissions.sgs@utoronto.ca and ask that they resend your JOINid to you.

The University Admissions and OutdocHub telephone number is 416-978-2190. Telephone inquiries are answered on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
UTORid will use the same name as your JOINidwhich you received when you submitted an application to U of Tbut gives you access to more than the JOINid can. Your UTORid and password provide access to online services including: UTmail+, your official U of T student email address.
The UTORid is your digital credential at the University, used to access University systems and resources. Your UTORid uses the same name as the JOINid, which all students receive when they apply to U of T. The UTORid simply provides access to more services.
Step 1: Retrieve your student number. After logging in, click Profile Update in the blue menu bar at the top of the page. Find your U of T Student Number at the top of the page that follows.
If you know your e-mail address and password, you can use them to log into the Get Information section of the UTORid Management page. Your UTORid will be the first piece of information displayed. Alternatively, if you have a TCard, your UTORid can be found on the left side of your TCard, just above the barcode.
When you applied to TYP, you were given a UofT applicant number that is located on your letter of offer. This 10-digit number is your permanent U of T student number. Every student must have a TCard and a UTmail+ email account. You need the TCard to set up your UTmail+ email (see below).
