By default, Google Docs places a one-inch margin on all sides of the document. That means that on an 8.5-inch by 11-inch paper, youll have a 6.5-inch by 9-inch area to begin writing your next novel.
Navigate to Google Docs and open a new or existing document. Select File Page setup. Under Margins, set the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margins to whatever you want. Select OK when youre done.
Tips for changing margins in Google Docs To change this, go to File, then Page setup, and adjust the paper size to A4 (8.27 x 11.69).
