Place the cartridge on a clean surface and apply a few drops of alcohol-based hand sanitizer to the ink nozzle. Its best to use an unscented hand sanitizer, as some scents or colors in the hand sanitizer may affect your ink cartridges performance. Gently rub your finger on the ink nozzle once or twice.
Hold the tip of the pen to a flame for a few seconds to unclog the ink. Use a lighter, match, or candle to create a flame, then place just the very tip of your pen in the flame for a few seconds. In many cases, the heat will melt any gummed-up ink near the tip and get the pen working again.
Soak the pen If your pen has dried out, one of the first steps you should take is soaking the pens in hot water. This will help to dissolve any dried ink that might be causing your pen to stop working.
USE A SOLVENT Solvents will dissolve the ink and should get everything flowing. Nail polisher remover (with acetone) and rubbing alcohol both work wonders. Simply put a little onto some cotton wool and wrap around the tip for a few minutes.
Just add water to the jar and the ink will become liquid again. If you are in a hurry, crush the ink into small pieces, add water and stir. Voila you have ink. If you have a few hours, add water and stir occasionally.

Latex prints are long-lasting whether the printed material is outside or indoors. Thats because latex ink is resistant to light fading and scratching. It is also resistant to water and chemical exposure to a certain degree. If you would like a latex print to last for more than three years, laminate it.
