Restoring Client Files in DAS When backups are taken in Drake Accounting, each backup file is named using the same naming convention: date and time that the backup was taken. To restore a client file, go to Client Restore. The current backup path is displayed at the bottom of the Restore Clients window. This is the default Backup path which is set up under Firm Firm Information Setup. If the client file you want to restore is in a different location, click Change Path. Use the Browse for Folder pop-up window to navigate to the drive and folder where the backup file you wish to restore is located and click OK to save your path. This location is temporary and is used for this session only. All the clients backed up to the selected folder are listed. Click the plus sign beside the client to be restored to expand the folder and display backup sub-folders for this client.
