To restore an AMI (AWS CLI) Use the create-restore-image-task command. Using the values for S3ObjectKey and Bucket from the describe-store-image-tasks output, specify the object key of the AMI and the name of the S3 bucket to which the AMI was copied. Also specify a name for the restored AMI.
Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the Amazon RDS console at . In the navigation pane, choose Snapshots. Choose the DB snapshot that you want to restore from. For Actions, choose Restore snapshot.
To restore a resource. Open the AWS Backup console at . In the navigation pane, choose Protected resources and the resource ID you want to restore. A list of your recovery points, including the resource type, is displayed by Resource ID.

However, you can create a new, identical AMI using one of the following: Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) snapshots that were created as backups. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances that were launched from the deleted AMI.
