hi this is Paul Carlson CPA with law firm velocity this video were looking at how to create a mater invoice and record a payment for a prepaid flat fee that is deposited directly into the operating account as soon as the firm receives payment the big question with this process is when do you create the invoice and the matter within clio that theres two schools of thought so one is you create the mater and the invoice as soon as the client expresses interest and expresses that theyre going to hire the firm the logic there is that once the invoice is within Cleo you can use accounts receivable report to follow up on any missing payments the problem with this process is if the client doesnt hire the firm to complete the work that weve now have an invoice and Cleo that needs to be deleted and youve and the matter will need to be closed and weve cluttered up Cleo with yet another contact so it really depends on the firms sales process and close rates as to when the mater and invoice

The invoice must be unpaid to be deleted. Select Invoices in the navigation menu. Select the invoice number. Select Delete. Select Yes, delete to confirm.
Article Detail Select Bills in the navigation menu. Select All Bills tab. Select Filter, select Active under Bill status, select Inactive, and select Apply. Select the bills invoice number. Select Undelete.
Note: For audit and security purposes, when a bill is deleted in BILL, it isnt completely deleted, but moved to inactive status. Inactive bills cant be paid unless they are reactivated.
How to Retrieve a Deleted Invoice in QuickBooks Go to Settings (the small gear icon). Click on Audit Log. Click on the Filter dropdown menu. Select the appropriate user, date, and event. Click Apply. Find the deleted invoice. Under the History Column of the deleted invoice, click View.
Once the bill is paid in full, the vendor name and bill amount will no longer be available to edit. Select Bills in the navigation menu. If a bill is not listed, it may not be an unpaid bill. Select the invoice number of the bill you want to edit. Select Edit. Edit the bill information as needed. Select Save.
Late fees should be included in your payment terms. This is a section on the invoice that explains how the customer should make the payment and any other special conditions of the sale. The late fees should be easy to understand and within the legal amount.
Edit an invoice Select Invoices in the navigation menu. Select the Invoice Number. Select Edit. Edit details. Select Save, Save new or Preview send.
Display Recycle Bin Select Any Voucher or Multiple Vouchers and Press Alt+F12 to Restore Voucher. Note: To Delete Vouchers Permanently, Navigate through Gateway Of Tally Display Recycle Bin Select Any Voucher or Multiple Vouchers and Press Alt + D to Delete Vouchers Permanently.
