Are permanently deleted emails gone forever? In most cases, permanently deleted emails cant be retrieved. But if your company is using Gmail, you can contact your IT administrators. They may be able to restore permanently deleted emails even after the 30-day storage limit thanks to the Google Admin Console.
When you delete a message, it stays in your trash for 30 days. After 30 days, the message is permanently deleted from your account and cant be recovered.
Important: You can only recover messages that are deleted within the last 30 days from your trash. You cant recover messages that are permanently deleted or messages that have been in the trash for more than 30 days.
How To Recover Your Missing Gmail Emails Check Gmail Trash. The first place to check when youre missing Gmail emails is your Trash. Check Gmail Spam Folder. Check Gmail Archived Email Folder. Use Gmail Search to Find Missing Emails. Use Gmail Recovery Tool.
When you tap Delete on an email (or multiple emails), Google automatically sends them to your Gmail Trash folder, where they will stay for 30 days. After that period, those emails will be permanently deleted. If you head over to the Trash folder, youll find your last 30 days worth of deleted emails.
In summary, deleting an email from your Sent box only deletes the copy from your mailbox but does not affect the email copy that is sitting in the recipients inbox. Simply deleting emails from your inbox is quite easy, but you should know emails are not permanently deleted; instead, deleted emails stay in Trash
