Recover messages from your trash On your computer, go to Gmail. On the left, click More. Trash. On the left of each message you want to recover, check the box. At the top, click Move to . In the Move to menu, choose where you want to move the messages.
To access this folder, open the Mail app, tap on Mailboxes in the top-left corner, and scroll down to find the Recently Deleted folder. First, you must permanently delete the email. Permanently deleting a message moves it to a Recoverable Items folder, which is hidden from view. Second, you must purge the message from your Recoverable Items folder.
Items removed from your Deleted Items folder are recoverable for 30 days. Junk email is retained for 30 days before it is automatically deleted.
