If your organization uses Google Vault, you might be able to retrieve data older than 25 days. If the data was subject to retention rules or holds, you can search for and export the retained data. You cant directly restore the data to the users Gmail account.
Recover messages from your trash On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app . At the top left, tap Menu. Trash. On the left of each message you want to recover, tap the senders profile image. At the top right, tap More. Move to. In the Move to menu, choose where you want to move the messages.
Recover email thats been removed from your Deleted Items folder In the left pane, select the Deleted Items folder. At the top of the message list, select Recover items deleted from this folder. Select the items you want to recover and select Restore.
Where do recovered items go? When you recover items from the Recoverable Items folder, they are moved to the Deleted Items folder. After you recover an item, you can find it in your Deleted Items folder and then you can move it to another folder.
Select the Trash folder from the list of folders in the left panel. Select the message you want to restore. Click the More button located in the top toolbar and select the Move to option. Recover your deleted emails to any folder you want.
Are permanently deleted emails gone forever? In most cases, permanently deleted emails cant be retrieved. But if your company is using Gmail, you can contact your IT administrators. They may be able to restore permanently deleted emails even after the 30-day storage limit thanks to the Google Admin Console.
Heres how to do so: Open your Gmail app. Tap Menu at the top left of the screen. Find and then tap the Trash folder to recover deleted messages. Select the ones you want to recover, and then tap More at the top right of your device screen. A window will pop up, prompting you to move the selected emails.
Recover messages from your bin Important: You cant recover messages that are permanently deleted or messages that have been in the bin for more than 30 days. If you deleted your messages in the last 30 days, you can move them out of your bin.
