These can be found via File, Open and clicking the Recover Unsaved Documents button found at the very bottom of the Recent File List. Open Word and select File, Options. In the Options dialog box select Save from the left hand menu. Note the AutoRecover files location.
In Word, select the File Menu, and then select Open. In the Files of type box, select Recover Text from Any File(.). Select the document from which you want to recover the text. Select Open.
Open Word, and then go to File Open Browse. In the files of type list to the right of File name, select All Files. Right-click the backup file that you found, and then select Open.
Within Microsoft Word, go to File / Manage Document and click on the File tab. Now select Document Management, then Recover Unsaved Documents. In the new window, you will see a list of all unsaved Word documents. Select the documents you are interested in and click Open.
Checking the Recycle Bin Double-click the Recycle Bin on the Desktop. Search through the list of documents to see whether the deleted Word document is still there. If you find the desired Word file, right-click the file name, and then select Restore to recover the file.
In Word, select the File Menu, and then select Open. In the Files of type box, select Recover Text from Any File(.). Select the document from which you want to recover the text.
Other versions of Word In the window that opens, click File Locations. Under File types, choose AutoRecover files and click Modify. Choose the folder where you want Word to save your AutoRecovered files.
Recovering Unsaved Word Documents In MS Word, click the File Tab in the upper left. manage document button. Click Manage Document and select Recover Unsaved Documents from the drop-down list. Check for your missing file in the dialog box. Open the recovered Word document and click the Save As button in the top banner.
