Restore a deleted product or service item Select Settings ⚙️. Under Lists, select Products and Services. Select the Filter. icon. From the Status ▼ dropdown menu, select Inactive, then Apply. Locate the product or service you want to make active. Select Make active.
Open QuickBooks. Then go to File and select Open or restore company. Select the company file you copied to your desktop and select Open.
As mentioned previously, you cannot delete vendors but you can inactivate them. When you inactivate a vendor, QuickBooks will preserve the existing historical transactions but remove the vendor from the drop-down list so that it cannot be used in future transactions, such as purchase orders and bills.
You can view your deleted or voided transaction history in both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. The voided/deleted transaction detail report in Quickbooks can show the history of a customer. This information is useful to find missing information.
Here's how: Open Intuit Data Protect from your task bar. Select Restore from Backup. Look and select the files that you need to restore. You will see all the versions of your files available for restoring. Click Continue and restore.
Can I reactivate an inactive vendor? Click Expenses. Choose Vendors. Above the Action column, click the Gear icon. Make sure to put a check mark on the Include inactive (see screenshot). The vendor list will update to include all the inactive vendor. ... Click the Make active link to reactivate the vendor.
Don't worry, it's usually because your company file was moved or renamed. It can also happen if your computer is disconnected from the path where the QuickBooks file is located or your QuickBooks file has been deleted from your computer.
How do I restore a deleted Vendor or Contractor? Go to the Expenses menu, then click the Vendors tab. Select the vendor's name, then select Edit. On the Vendor information box, select Make active, then select Yes to confirm.
You cannot restore the deleted invoice. You can print out or save the transaction report so that you have the information to re-enter as a new invoice.
To open Intuit Data Protect, log in to your company file and go to File > Back Up Company > Setup/Activate Online Backup. OR: From the System Tray, find and right-click the IDP icon (green padlock) and select Open Intuit Data Protect.
