Hold the Alt key, and press the F11 key, to open the Visual Basic Editor. In the Project Explorer, find your workbook, and open the list of Microsoft Excel Objects. Right-click on the ThisWorkbook object, and choose View Code.
Just click on the Restore button in the yellow bar to revert to the newer unsaved version of the workbook. Note. Excel deletes all previously autosaved versions when you close the document.
Click the File tab. If needed, scroll to the Version history section. Select an autosaved version of the file in the list of recovered files. If the version you need to recover isnt in the recent list, click the Manage Workbook button and select Recover Unsaved Workbooks to see if the version you need is saved there.
Recover data when the workbook is open in Excel Click File Open. Double-click the name of the workbook that you have open in Excel. Click Yes to reopen the workbook. The workbook opens without any changes you made that might have caused the workbook to become corrupted.
Click the File tab. If needed, scroll to the Version history section. Select an autosaved version of the file in the list of recovered files. If the version you need to recover isnt in the recent list, click the Manage Workbook button and select Recover Unsaved Workbooks to see if the version you need is saved there.
If youve saved the file Open the file you were working on. Go to File Info. Under Manage Workbook or Manage Presentation, select the file labeled (when I closed without saving). In the bar at the top of the file, select Restore to overwrite any previously saved versions.
