in this html tutorial im going to show you how to change the background color of your html page were going to do this using internal css for now so lets just start by opening the style tag inside your head tags then type the name of the tag that you want to change with the brackets so here im changing the body tag because i want to apply the background color to entire page and im going to use the background property and apply black so im going to refresh the page as you can see its applied you can also change colors so here white you can choose any color you want you can also use hexadecimal numbers but you can look that up online for now in this basic tutorial im just using pre-made html colors which are like brown black yellow orange in vs code editor which is the editor im using right now they will actually show you which colors are available as you type them into the background property but again you can use the hexadecimal numbers which give you more precision and contro

How to Add Background Color in HTML. To add background color in HTML, use the CSS background-color property. Set it to the color name or code you want and place it inside a style attribute. Then add this style attribute to an HTML element, like a table, heading, div, or span tag.
