hey guys jason here with traditional bow hunting wilderness podcast im gonna take a minute and show you how to remove basically remove brass inserts from carbon arrows a lot of people with these get nervous because they go down pretty far inside of the shafts for the heavier ones and its carbon so they dont want to heat that to break that glue free so they get a little nervous about damaging the carbon with the heat all you need to do is grab yourself mine is still hawks im doing it i got all these intervals here im pulling these inserts out of all you have to do is get a filled tip just standard filled tip that you would use screw it in dont have to put it in there you put it all the way up so that the heat transfers but you dont need to you know you dont want to wrench it tight but stick it in there like that and then youre going to just heat the filled tip on a torch nothing part no part of the carbon no nothing whatll happen is the heat will transfer from the filled tip
