The Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) was established in 1965 as a subcommittee of Engineers Canada to review and provide quality assurance of undergraduate engineering programs within Canada.
There are 279 accredited engineering programs at 44 higher education institutions across Canada.
CEAB means the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board.
Each of U of T Engineerings nine undergraduate programs are accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), a committee of Engineers Canada. Accreditation ensures that graduates of our programs have the academic qualifications necessary for registration as a professional engineer (P. Eng.)
The CEAB sends a team to engineering schools every six years to conduct an exhaustive examination of the programs and facilities to determine if the program deserves accreditation.
Accreditation is the process of reviewing an engineering degree programme to judge whether or not it meets the defined standards set by the Engineering Council. A degree may be accredited by one or more of the engineering institutions licensed to do so, particularly where it spans several engineering disciplines.
Engineers Canada (EC) began accrediting undergraduate university engineering programs in 1965. The process for accrediting an engineering program is undertaken by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), a working Board of the Engineers Canada (EC).
