hello this is Jason again and were still doing the list scrubbing and when we receive lists from the title company or any other source they may include the four digits with the zip code and thats not what we want when were sending our letters so Im going to show you how to get rid of those four numbers first thing you want to do is go to create a second column just to the right of this normally youre on this tab but the way you get here is good at data highlight this entire column then go to text to columns keep this here go to next click on other type in the - because thats whats right there after that number I want to separate that out and thats what its going to look like so its going to separate those numbers go to next keep the data is general it can be taxed or a date but we just want in general for now and hit finished do you want to replace the contents of the destination cells yes there we go so thats how we separated the those numbers in the zip codes and then now
