hi in this video well take a look at a RSA SecurID and I will attempt to take it apart and see whats inside the reason I said attempt is that these devices were not designed to be taken apart and I think the main reason for this is to prevent any reverse engineering efforts I can the teardown of an earlier version of the RSA SecurID many years ago and you can see some of the tear down pictures on my website and in that teardown you could see that everything in this security in that security ID is conformal coded and then padded so that chance of having a functional circuit after taking it apart is virtually nil but in just a little bit we will give it another goal and on this newer version of the security to see if theres anything interesting inside for those who do not know what RSA SecurID is and how it works I would recommend you checking out the Wikipedia page for the RSA SecurID but from a very high level the RSA SecurID its simply a pseudo-random number gen
