hi there everyone lynae here with interview like an expert this week i am answering a question that comes up somewhat frequently in my work so i wanted to share it with you the question is is it ever okay for me to change my title on my resume and the answer is yes sometimes let me explain you know oftentimes companies have titles that they may use internally that dont translate to the rest of the marketplace that arent in line with the more commonly used terms for that role so it is absolutely okay to change your title if you are doing so in order to ensure that your role is clearly communicated and its clearly understood in the marketplace uh by potential employers so lets talk about a few specific examples i had a client recently who came to me and his title at his old company was vertical market lead again this made sense within their company based on how they organized their company but that title doesnt really translate to the general marketplace and upon further investigat
