Set up or restore Google Authenticator on a new phone Download Google Authenticator from the Google Play store and it on your phone. If you lost your backup codes, you can revoke them and get new ones. Go to the 2-Step Verification section of your Google Account. Select Show codes. Select Get new codes.
To change the phone number for 2-Step Verification on the mobile apps: Go to the More menu. Select Settings Select Password Security Click on Change mobile phone Go through 3 steps to re-authenticate, change your mobile phone number, and enter the code to verify the new number.
To do this, click on the Change authenticator app option. Youll then be provided with a QR code to scan with your new phone. Scan this code on your Google Authenticator app via the Scan a QR Code option. The app will then provide you with a code that youll need to type into the setup window on your laptop.
