We open the original file, save it as a new file and search replace the name of the customer. Sometimes the name of the old customer remains and that can create a lot of trouble for you. Here is a brilliant way of using a very nice feature of Word called Fields, so that you never have that particular problem. Instead of manually typing the name of the customer every time what you should do is create a field. Open File menu - Info - Properties - Advanced Properties - the last tab allows you to create custom fields. Im going to create the field called customer name and type the name of one of the customers and just click add. Assume this was your sales proposal. Registrar Lock is a security feature that prevents unauthorized or unintended domain transfers. In most cases, Registrar Lock is enabled by default, so first thing it must be disabled on the side of your current Registrar. You have to wait at least 60 days from the registration date before transferring your domain.
Hi there, Please note, ICANN (the governing body over domains) places a 60 day lock on all new domain registrations and renewals to prevent fraud. This is a requirement placed on all domain registrars, so there is no way to waive it.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires domain providers to lock most domains for 60 days after registration, transfer, or as an option when changing contact information. When your domain is locked, you cant transfer it to a different provider.
Select the name of your domain. Registration settings. Under Contact information, in the upper right corner, click Edit. After you edit, click Save.
Your registrar may deny a transfer request if the domain name is within 60 days of initial registration. Another situation is if the domain name is subject to a 60-day Change of Registrant lock.
Once you register a domain with a specific extension, you cannot change it. The same name with a different extension is considered a different domain name. If you made a mistake or you simply prefer to get another extension, you need to register it separately.
How to Transfer a Domain Update your contact information. Set up your email sending domain name. Unlock your domain. Request an authorization code. Make sure your domain is eligible for a transfer. Create an account with your new registrar. Enter the authorization code. Authorize the domain transfer.
Request the transfer to another registrar before changing the registrants information (to avoid the 60-day lock); or. Have the prior registrant opt-out the 60-day lock (if this option is offered by the registrar) before making any change to registrant information.
