welcome back to the consultant crash course Im drew bowers auger and in this video were going to talk about the contracts you should be using for consulting lets start with the consulting agreement its important to sign a consulting contract so there are no disputes over the billing and the engagement the main points you want to cover are the client is hiring your business as an independent contractor how much you should be paid how often you should be paid acceptable payment methods and signatures from both parties here are a few sample consulting agreement templates note that the contract is usually biased towards the party that rub it if possible you want to get clients to sign your contract rather than you signing their contract if you have to sign their contract read it carefully and make sure things like the rate frequency of billing and project completion are well understood if you disagree or dont understand something in the contract discuss it with the client minor modifi
