heres how you re-ink an old bait stamp this is one of the original models probably from the 1940s or so you can re-ink a dry pad but its easier if you just replace the whole pad so buy one of these here theyre still making them and you can get one on amazon ill put a link down there if you want so were just going to swap out the old pad for the new one here you push the stamp about halfway down and hit this button here to lock it then the ink pad is in this little box here push down on the tab and flip it towards you thats the dry one you want to pull that out its not really attached in any way so you can just grab it and pull im using these pliers so i dont get my fingers all dirty yank it and get the new one here if you look closely you can see its not a perfect rectangle its more shaped like a gold bar you know like a frost room the big side is meant to face outwards where it hits the stamp so just jam it in there close it back up and youre ready to stamp i find it works
