gday there everyone daniel anderson here and welcome to this episode where were going to take a look at building an end-to-end employee referral program solution using sharepoint and microsoft forms so this came about actually uh working with a customer of mine um where were migrating and moving from sheppon classic into uh sharepoint modern now one of the things that theyve got across and you might find this as well in a sharepoint classic environment is some a lot of embedded forms via script editors and things like that so maybe using a third-party solution like wufoo forms or the like where we can now start to think about and transition away from needing that because one of the powers of microsoft 365 are all the applications that you have access to as part of your license now one of those is obviously microsoft forms and we can use that for a lot of different scenarios and in this case were going to create a form with a couple of different sections allow for some file uploads

If you do not have a Social Security Number (SSN) enter your Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN). If you do not have an SSN or ITIN leave the entry field blank.

School ID card with a photograph. Voter registration card. U.S.military card or draft record.
We dont require you to have an SSN before you start work. However, the Internal Revenue Service requires employers to use your SSN to report your wages. While you wait for your SSN, your employer can use a letter from us stating you applied for a number.
If a newly hired employee has applied for, but has not yet received his or her SSN (e.g., the employee is a newly arrived immigrant), attach an explanation to the employees Form I-9 and set it aside. Then create a case in E-Verify using the employees SSN as soon as it is available.
The potential employee can complete the W-4 form with no Social Security number, but they have to apply for a SSN by filling out Form SS-5, Application for Social Security Card. Once the form is filled out and submitted, you can allow the employee to begin working.
An Employer can complete an I-9 without the Employees Social Security Number. However, the I-9 will be returned as a SSN Applied For with the status of The current I-9 is not eligible for verification through E-Verify.
Why do employers need my social security number? If an employer decides to extend you an offer, they will eventually need your social security number to verify your identity and work authorization and perhaps to complete a background check.
A Social Security number is required to complete IRS Form W-4. Withholding will default to single and zero allowances if IRS Form W-4 is not submitted. Special rules apply to nonresident aliens for tax purposes filling out IRS Form W-4.
