Although its never too late to consider a few alterations in the signature, in my experience the best time for a signature change is when you are above 16 years of age. The 16 to 25 age group is ideal for a signature correction, because this is the time when most people zero in on a particular signature style.
Based on the regulations in article 1875 of the Civil Code, it is permissible to change the signature as long as the person who made it acknowledges the truth. Even if the signature has been changed, all previous documents using the old signature are still considered valid.
The parties do not necessarily have to sign the same copy of the contract in order for it to be binding. If the parties do sign different copies of the contract, they must agree that each of their signature pages together constitute a complete executed agreement.
You can use a contract amendment letter to list the changes to the original document and have both parties sign. You can create a contract amendment created from a template or from a legal services provider. You can add amendment pagesdigital or printto the end of the original signed contract.
If you have already signed the contract but you want to make a modification to it, you will have to create a document, generally called a deed. This document is the written agreement of the two parties, stating the fact that they agree to change the terms of the original contract.
If a contract has already been produced but has an error, one of the parties may hand write a change on the document. As long as all involved parties initial next to the handwritten change, it will be considered a legally binding modification.
It is not illegal to alter a contract once it has been signed. However, it must be materially changed, meaning that if an important part of the contract is altered by the change, it must be made by mutual consent of both parties.
The National Notary Association (NNA) has noted that there are no laws that indicate that a signature must be legible to be legal, at least not at the time of this publication. This means that you have the freedom to make your signature just as you want it to be.
There are no laws in India that dictate terms on signature change. The most sensible move would be to immediately make an affidavit and docHub it. The affidavit should contain an attachment that provides a specimen of the old and new signature. That is it!
