i got a letter from an agent today and this is what the letter said i cant believe were back to doing this again but my seller has agreed to make some repairs to the home side note i have been having to change my approach to listing consults to help sellers understand the changing market and that they may have to make some repairs to get a deal done i think thats really interesting because that really wasnt the state of things up until the last few months so the fact that listing agents when they first meet was a seller of a home theyre having to explain to them its not like it was you very well may be hit with some repair requests and you might have to do some of them rather than just saying well if you dont want the house guess what somebody else is in line and ive got a backup offer already and they dont want any repairs thats not the case anymore in fact just in my office in the last month we have been trying to help some people navigate a dispute over whether pool repair

Key Takeaways A quote in and of itself is not a legally binding contract. Accepting a quote or verbal contract may be considered a legally binding quotation if the vendor and seller both agree. Fraudulent contracts and contracts agreed upon under duress are not considered legally binding contracts in most cases.
There is no regulation saying how long quotes have to be honored. In essence, they are just estimates of how much it will cost to do a project and that the contractor is only obligated to meet that price expectation when a contract is signed. Most quotes have a line on them stating how long the quote is good for.
