If I select direct deposit, how soon will my benefits be available? Your money will be deposited in the bank account you provide within two business days of the claim voucher being approved.

The DWD determines your weekly benefit amount. Your weekly benefit amount will be 40% of your average weekly wage, up to a maximum of $370 per week. The minimum weekly benefit is $54. Benefits are ordinarily available for up to 26 weeks, although this may be extended during periods of high unemployment.
The following is a list of some common reasons for denial: Voluntarily leaving work without good cause. Being discharged for misconduct connected with work. Not being able to work or available for work. Refusing an offer of suitable work. Knowingly making false statements to obtain benefit payments.
The UI Payment Portal at ui.wi.gov/pay may be used by anyone to securely make a payment on a UI Employer Account using a credit card or debit card (or bank account). Payers will be required to use (or create) a DWD/Wisconsin Logon to access our payment portal which connects to U.S. Bank.
