my name is Lee Anne Brunell and today Id like to show you how to create custom invoice numbers first of all Im going to show you the screen for creating an invoice and show you what QuickBooks will do under the plus sign were going to go under customer and click on invoice to create an invoice and Im going to choose adwin coal as my customer and Ill make him buy hell be buying I dont know you can be buying 5 guest books and well put the tax on it of 13% Ontario tax because thats where Im located and Ill show you what happens when I save this invoice Im just gonna click Save here youll notice theres no where theres no field here where I can change the invoice number so when I say that ok it automatically creates an invoice number which is 1 0 1 8 now under the scenario that we had our books in another accounting system and our last name voice number in that a old accounting system was say 2000 was the last invoice number so we want the next invoice number to be 2001 so I

To ensure your pages begin with 1, go to the Insert tab Page Number. Select Format Page Numbers Page numbering Start at and add 1.
To choose a format or to control the starting number, go to Header Footer Page Number Format Page Numbers. To change the numbering style, select a different style in Number format. To change the starting page number of the newly created section, select Start at, and then enter a number. Select OK.
Click or tap the page at the beginning of a section. Select Layout Breaks Next Page. Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. Click Link to Previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section.
Select Insert Header Footer. On the right side of the white area at the top of the document area, select Options Different Even Odd Pages. Type the text you want to appear on even pages. Select Odd Pages, and then type the text you want to appear on odd pages.
What to Know To reset page numbers, go to Insert Page Number Remove Page Numbers. Do this for each section. To adjust page numbering, go to Insert Page Number Format Page Numbers. Make sure Start at is set to 1. To make page numbers continuous, go to Format Page Numbers and choose Continue from previous section.
At the top of the page, before the first line/word, click on the document to place your curser. Then choose Page Layout from the top menu. Next select Breaks - Next Page. Now choose Insert from the top menu and then select Page Numbers and then choose how you want them to appear in the document.
Follow these steps to delete page numbers in Word manually: Open the header or footer. Double-click inside the area of the header or footer where the page number is located. Select the page number and press Delete Using your cursor, click and drag to highlight the page number. Close the header or footer.
On the Insert tab, select the Page Number icon, and then click Remove Page Numbers. If the Remove Page Numbers button isnt available, double-click in the header or footer, select the page number, and press Delete.
