FHA Case Number When is it assigned and can it be transferred? The Case Number is assigned to the borrower and the property. The FHA case number can be transferred from one borrower to another but cannot be transferred from the property.
Look at Your Paperwork When you closed on your FHA loan, you received closing paperwork. On that paperwork is your FHA case number. Youll typically find it on the HUD Closing Statement (now called the Closing Disclose) or the mortgage deed. Sometimes you can also find it on the promissory note.
