To create an amendment quote, click Amend on your contract or Amend Contract on your opportunity. Salesforce CPQ creates an amendment opportunity and amendment quote. The amendment quote contains all the products from your original quote. You can adjust the quantities of these products or add new products.
Substitution of a new contract in place of an existing contract is called Novation.
If you need to quote new prices on an amendment, first cancel the original subscription by setting the quantity to 0. Then, replace the subscription by adding the product to the quote again. You can discount the new quote line to adjust the price as you see fit.
What does a user need to do before co-terminating a new quote with an existing contract? ASet Preserve Bundle Structure to TRUE in the managed package settings and on the Account from which the user creates the Quote.
Step 1: Edit Legal Contracts Open your PDF legal contracts by clicking the Open button on the main window. Go to Edit tab directly and youll find there are many editing options. To renew contracts from your account, go to your accounts Contracts related list, select all the contracts to renew, and then click Renew Contracts. Salesforce CPQ asks you to pick a master contract. The renewal quote inherits its end date from the master contracts end date.
Amend Your Assets Make sure that your account has an asset-based renewal method. Click Amend Assets on your account. Salesforce CPQ displays the Asset Selection page. Select the assets you want to amend and click Amend. Amend your quote as needed, and then click Save.
