While working on Word we often face a problem. Many times we want to send a proposal to a new customer. We remember that we have already sent a similar proposal to an existing customer. We open the original file, save it as a new file and search replace the name of the customer. Sometimes the name of the old customer remains and that can create a lot of trouble for you. Here is a brilliant way of using a very nice feature of Word called Fields, so that you never have that particular problem. Instead of manually typing the name of the customer every time what you should do is create a field. Open File menu - Info - Properties - Advanced Properties - the last tab allows you to create custom fields. Im going to create the field called customer name and type the name of one of the customers and just click add. Assume this was your sales proposal. Anytime you need the name of the customer go to this Insert - Quick Parts - Fields. There are a lot of fields, dont get worried. Choose one of

When you convert a lead, Salesforce uses the information stored in the lead record to create a business account, a contact, and an opportunity. If youve enabled person accounts and the lead record didnt include a company name, the lead is converted into a person account and an opportunity.
Lead conversion is the process of turning a lead into a customer. This process includes everything from sales tactics to marketing materials and varies docHubly between companies (though many of the principles of the process stay the same across the board).
This scenario explains the Lead Conversion in Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience. When you convert a Lead, you create a new account or connect to an existing Account. When you select new Account, a new Contact is created.
This happens when a lead is identified as a qualified Sales prospect. When a lead is converted: A contact, account opportunity are created and populated with the leads data (unless otherwise specified during conversion). The lead field Converted is changed from false to true.
From the object management settings for leads, go to the fields section, then click Map Lead Fields. For each custom lead field, choose a custom account, contact, or opportunity field into which you want the information inserted when you convert a lead.
The converted lead becomes a read-only record. If existing accounts and contacts share the names specified on the leads, you can choose to update the existing accounts and contacts. Salesforce adds information from the lead into empty contact fields; Salesforce doesnt overwrite existing account and contact data.
Converted Leads are unique records that remain in Salesforce for historical reporting purposes. They are not deleted when you delete an Account or Contact.
So, to convert a lead to a person account record, users will need to edit the lead record first by removing any values in the Company field. Once the edit is saved, clicking the Convert button will bring up the second convert lead dialog box shown above.
