The story of light in the Bible illustrates faith in God, who transcends time. Genesis, the first book, recounts creation over a week, beginning with God commanding light to exist on the first day. Interestingly, the sun, moon, and stars are created on the fourth day. This sequence emphasizes that God is the ultimate source of light and creation, as well as the author of eternity. In Revelation, the final book, it is revealed that God will be the eternal source of light, eliminating the need for lamps or suns. Ultimately, the narrative conveys that the story of light is synonymous with the story of God and faith in Him, as reinforced by Psalm 27:1, where the Lord is described as light.

Chapter 5 covers two important themes: obedience to the example of Christ, and the relationship between husbands and wives. First, Paul discusses how believers are to be imitators of God through a focus on the love demonstrated by Christ (Ephesians 5:121).
Light symbolizes the holy God. Light signifies Gods presence and favor ( Psalm 27:1 ; Isa 9:2 ; 2 Cor 4:6 ) in contrast to Gods judgment ( Amos 5:18 ). Throughout the Old Testament light is regularly associated with God and his word, with salvation, with goodness, with truth, with life.
As Paul says (Eph 5:13), But all things become visible when they are exposed [same word] by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. That last phrase is difficult, but Paul seems to be arguing that light not only exposes, but also transforms (at least some of the time).
Paul again refers to light to communicate a spiritual principle (Ephesians 3:9; 5:8, 9, 14). Believers are to expose sin, making a clear distinction between right and wrong (Ephesians 5:11). Light reveals what darkness tries to hide.
ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF EPHESIANS 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Its interesting how Jesus phrased the command to let not your hearts be troubled. He didnt simply ask his disciples to try and avoid being fearful or anxious. The fact that he tells them to avoid allowing their hearts to be troubled is evidence that we have control over how we respond to the burdens of life.
Philippians 4:5-13 New King James Version (NKJV) The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
In John 8:12, Jesus says, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. This tells us that following Jesus can lead us out of darkness, representing confusion, sin, and despair, into light, which is understanding, forgiveness, and hope.
