In this tutorial, the process of changing the shift indicator light bulb in a 2008 Ford F-150 is demonstrated. First, the center console piece is removed by pulling up on both sides, which is held in place by four tabs. The shift indicator light bulb, located beneath this section, is secured with a quarter turn mechanism. To access it easily, the plastic trim surrounding the bulb is gently pulled out from both sides. Once the trim is removed, the burnt light bulb is taken out. A replacement bulb, which is a 194 type found at Walmart, is then inserted. The entire process involves careful handling to avoid damaging any components.
