Special characters (such as <, >, &, ", and ' ) can be replaced in XML documents with their html entities using the DocumentKeywordReplace service. However, since html entities used within BPML are converted to the appropriate character, the string mode of DocumentKeywordReplace will not work in this instance.
Note that the ampersand (&) and less-than (<) characters are not permitted in XML attribute values.
To include special characters inside XML files you must use the numeric character reference instead of that character. The numeric character reference must be UTF-8 because the supported encoding for XML files is defined in the prolog as encoding="UTF-8" and should not be changed.
Replacing a string in a xml doc with C# void WriteXML(string xmlData) { string name = "NewPlayer"; XmlDocument xmlDoc = new XmlDocument(); xmlDoc. Load(new StringReader(xmlData)); XmlNode node = xmlDoc. ... //DO something to replace the innnertext of the node with a new string. // It is here I could use some help.

Comments Read the csv file using one of the many free CSV parsers and build a Map. Create a Rewriter using the map keys as targets and use the map values as replacements. Read the XML file line by line and process each line with the Rewriter. Save each line to an output file.
Similarly, if you String contains many special characters, you can remove all of them by just picking alphanumeric characters e.g. replaceAll("[^a-zA-Z0-9_-]", ""), which will replace anything with empty String except a to z, A to Z, 0 to 9,_ and dash.
As written above, < > " & ' do not have to be escaped when used as markup delimiters or within a comment, a processing instruction, or a CDATA section. i.e. when you use < > as an XML tag you don't escape it.
In the XML Files explorer, right-click the XML file or XML element that you want to remove and click Delete.
XML escape characters There are only five: " " ' ' < < > > & & Escaping characters depends on where the special character is used. The examples can be validated at the W3C Markup Validation Service.
