The first step is to open Microsoft word, and Click Review at the top of the page. Click Editor dropdown. Click Auto Correct Options in the dropdown. Click Replace text as you type checkbox to turn it on.
Open Microsoft Word on your Mac. Click or hover over the Edit tab found in the top toolbar. Click or hover over Find from the dropdown menu. Click Replace or hold shift + command + H on your keyboard.
Keyboard shortcut Press CTRL+F. The Find and Replace dialog box appears. To find data, in the Find and Replace dialog box, click the Find tab. To run a find-and-replace operation, click the Replace tab.
Click and drag to rearrange pages, or use keyboard shortcuts. Press Ctrl + X to cut a page, move your cursor to where you want to insert it, and press Ctrl + V to paste. For longer documents, utilize headers or section breaks. Go to the Layout tab, select Breaks, and choose either Next Page or Section Break.
Have you made a selection of text? If so, the replace operation will work only within that selection. Have you cleared the formatting? (Unless the formatting is necessary for what you are trying to do.) Is Track Changes turned on? (Some functions using wildcards dont work as expected if Track Changes is on.)
Try it! Select Replace or press Ctrl + H. In the Find what box, type the text you want to search for. Select Find Next to see where the text appears in your file. In the Replace with box, type the text you want. Select Replace to change the text or select Replace All to change all instances of this text in your file.
To use Find and Replace, use the shortcut Ctrl+H or navigate to Editing in the Home tab of the ribbon, then choose Replace. To just quickly find something, use the shortcut Ctrl+F or navigate to HomeEditingFind.
Find and replace text Go to Home Replace. Enter the word or phrase you want to replace in Find what. Enter your new text in Replace with. Choose Replace All to change all occurrences of the word or phrase. To specify only upper or lowercase in your search, select More Match case.
