What Is a Sponsor Liable For? The sponsor who signs Form I-864 is legally bound by contract to provide financial support for the immigrant family member. This contract is between the United States government agency and the sponsor, including the main and secondary sponsor(s).
The Form I-864 at Part 6, item 24, asks for the sponsors total income as reported on the Form 1040 or 1040EZ for the three most recent years: The 2019 IRS 1040 shows that total income includes: Wages, salaries, tips, etc.

Every I-751 affidavit should cover these basic points: Full name and address of affiant. Date and place of birth. Relationship to the conditional resident and spouse. Form I-864A, Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member, is an attachment to Form I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA. A separate Form I-864A must be used for each household member whose income and/or assets are being used by a sponsor to qualify.
I-864a Household Member Essentially, the total household income must address an essential requirement it has to be 125 percent above the poverty line. There is also the option of a joint sponsor, who isnt required by the law to be related to the sponsor or the impending immigrant.
A Statement of Error or Erasure (REG 101) form is required for any erasure and/or lined out information on the California Certificate of Title. For example, if an individuals signature appears on the title in error and is lined out, a REG 101 must be completed by that individual explaining the error.
A copy of your individual federal income tax return, including W-2s for the most recent tax year, or a statement and/or evidence describing why you were not required to file. Also include a copy of every Form 1099, schedule, and any other evidence of reported income.
