With a quick key combination you can see formulas instead of formula results in a worksheet. To show formulas in all cells press CTRL+` (that little mark is the grave accent mark key). When the formulas are visible, print your worksheet as you normally would.
Replace text or numbers with the Find Replace Press Ctrl+H or go to Home Find Select Replace. In Find what, type the text or numbers you want to find. You can further define your search: In the Replace with box, enter the text or numbers you want to use to replace the search text. Select Replace or Replace All.
To edit a formula: Select the cell containing the formula you want to edit. Click the formula bar to edit the formula. A border will appear around any referenced cells. When youre finished, press Enter on your keyboard or click the checkmark in the formula bar.
1. Show Formulas. The most basic shortcut for showing formulas in Excel is to simply press Ctrl + ` (thats the key just to the left of the number 1 on most keyboards). This will toggle between showing the formulas and showing the results of those formulas.
Find cells with formulas in Excel With Excels Find and Replace, you can only search in formulas for a given value, as explained in additional options of Excel Find. To find cells that contain formulas, use the Go to Special feature.
Select the cell with the formula, press F2, and then press ENTER. The cell displays the value.
If you dont want the formulas hidden when the sheet is protected in the future, right-click the cells, and click Format Cells. On the Protection tab, clear the Hidden check box. Click on Formulas and then click on Show Formulas to switch between displaying formulas and results.
The reason Show Formulas can be accidentally enabled is because it has a keyboard shortcut (Control +`) that a user might accidentally type. Try typing Control + ` in a worksheet to see how it works. You should see formulas toggled on and off each time you use the shortcut.
Excel displays formula rather than result Select the cell. Format the cell as General. (Right-click the cell, select Format Cells, and choose General.) Delete the = at the beginning of your formula, and hit Enter. Insert the = back in the formula at the beginning.
While your cursor is within the formula bar, press Ctrl+F to find, or Ctrl+H to find and replace the specified word or sequence of characters in the formula.
