How to file online. Youll need to Create an account for the Companies House WebFiling service. Well send you an authentication code when you register - youll need this code to file your companys information online. You can also file some company information using our Find and update company information service.
Send the copy of the resolution, the copy of your new articles and completed form (if any) to Companies House.You must send: a copy of the resolution within 15 days of it being agreed. a copy of the amended articles of association within 15 days of them taking effect. any forms (if needed) within 15 days of the changes.
Changing your companys registered office address Go to the Find and update company information page. Find your company. Click on the file for this company tab and follow the instructions. Enter your new building name or number and postcode. You can find the address or enter it manually. Submit your changes.
Your Articles of Association may also define another method to do this. Once you pass the resolution, you can submit NM01 form with the correct fee to Companies House. They will process the name change within two or three working days.
How do I correct my companys SIC code? All you need to do is file a confirmation statement. This is the annual report that provides Companies House with a general snapshot of your companys general, non-financial, situation. The confirmation statement will allow you to add and remove SIC codes.
You can file your Confirmation Statement online using the Companies House web filing platform, or you can post the form directly.
Form 288a is a Companies House form which is used to appoint a director or secretary. From 1st October 2009 Form 288a was replaced with a new Companies Act Forms AP01 and AP02. These updated documents must be used for appointments made after that date.
Form NM04 is the form used to notify Companies House of a change of name when the directors resolve to do so. It is not possible to submit form NM04 online. Once Companies House accepts the change of name, they will send a change of name certificate to the registered office of the company.
