From the object management settings for the object whose fields you want to view, go to Fields. Click the field label. To modify a custom field, add custom help text, or change the data type, click Edit.
Go to a report and click on Enable Field Editing button for inline field editing.
After youve created a report, you can edit it or delete it from Salesforce.
If you see a pencil icon, you can click it, modify the value, and then save. The field value is updated on the report and in the source record, and the report reruns automatically. A lock icon means that the field isnt available for inline editing.
A field service report should include the following information. Customer and technician information (name, address, contact information, and company name) The reported issue. The inspection report including visuals. The repairs/replacements required. Actions to be done by the technician. Follow-up audits, if necessary.
Unfortunately, you are not able to switch the report type on an existing report, so you will need to create your report again, making sure to select the appropriate custom report type that bears your company name.
Reporting on Field Changes using Salesforce Reports For Salesforce standard objects and some Kimble objects you can report on the field changes using Salesforce reports. To do this, in Setup Object Manager, open the Details page for the data object, click Allow Reports and save.
From the Fields Available for Reports section, click Edit Layout. Drag and drop the missing fields from the Field Definition Fields section, then click Save. You can also add additional fields via lookup on your primary or secondary object by clicking Add fields via lookup.
