If you received a PDF digitally signed by others, you can sign it, but cant edit it. While signing a PDF, if the signer chooses to lock the document after signing, the document becomes read-only for everyone, including the signer.
If the PDF that you wish to edit is locked for editing by a password, you will have to unlock it using the password before you are able to edit the document. If you cannot unlock the document with a password, you still have a couple options: You can recreate the PDF document by using a PDF creator and editor.
Just create the document on your computer as you would a traditional paper contract and make sure it has an e-signing functionality, then send it to the signer. There are several contract management software available today that allow you to get all these done without leaving the platform.
The signature block is a group of fields. The signature block field cannot be made optional and is always required. By default, the signature block contains both a signature field, and an e-mail field. Account Admins can adjust what fields are included in the signature block.
How to lock a PDF form after signing it Open a PDF in docHub Pro and choose Forms Signatures Prepare Form. Double-click the necessary signature field to open its Properties. In Signed, tick the box Mark as read-only. Save changes.
