Validation rule requirement Click on Setup. Go to Quick Find and enter Object. Choose the object. Under the Validation Rules section, click on New. Enter a Rule Name. Enter an Error Condition Formula, you can use ISBLANK or ISNULL to check that the field is not empty. Enter an Error Message. Select an Error Location.
To find out which fields are required, go to the Go to menu at the top right of the connector of the connector and click Salesforce Object Reference. The required field rows will say Required in the far right column.
To edit the validation rule for a custom activity field, select the validation rule from Setup by entering Activities in the Quick Find box, then selecting Activities and choose Task Validation Rules or Event Validation Rules. Enter the properties of your validation rule.
Create validation rule in Salesforce Classic Click Setup. Click Customize | [the object you need to modify] | Validation Rules. Click New. Enter the Validation Rule name. Set the Validation Formula as per the suggestion above, feel free to adapt to your needs. Set the error message that the User will receive.
Click on the gear icon then Setup Object Manager. Choose the object Validation Rules. Click on New. Enter a Rule Name. Enter an Error Condition Formula, you can use ISBLANK or ISNULL to check that the field is not empty. Enter an Error Message. Select an Error Location. Click on Save.
Validation Rules Navigate to Setup Object Manager. Select the object that contains the validation rule you want to disable and click Validation Rules. Select the relevant validation rule and click Edit. Uncheck the Active checkbox and click Save:
Validation Rule From Setup, open the Object Manager and click Account object. In the left sidebar, click Validation Rules. Click New. Enter the required properties for your validation rule. Provide Error message to be displayed. Click Check Syntax to check the formula used. Click Save to finish.
Create a field validation rule Select the field that you want to validate. On the Fields tab, in the Field Validation group, click Validation, and then click Field Validation Rule. Use the Expression Builder to create the rule.
