Change the Value of an Attribute Unlike element nodes, attribute nodes have text values. The way to change the value of an attribute, is to change its text value. This can be done using the setAttribute() method or setting the nodeValue property of the attribute node.
getAttributeValue() This method returns the value of the target attribute. You must use the other XML get methods to navigate through an XML document. This argument specifies the XML attribute whose value you want the script to return.
The replaceData() method is used to replace data in a text node.
First, you need to add a file for redaction: drag drop your XML file or click inside the white area for choose a file. Enter the expression to be searched and the text for replacement, also you can check other options. Then click the REDACT button.
Solution: First we parse the xml file and perform the string contains operation to check if the title of the book contains Python. If the string contains the keyword, we use the set() method to change the attribute value. Run the above example code and you will see the original xml file has been modified.
fodocHub(value - value. addAttribute(attribute, newValue)); // We can get the representation as String in the same way as the previous JAXP snippet. Note that with this method despite the name, if an attribute already exists for the given name it will be replaced otherwise it will add it.
Select or position the caret on an xml element. Press Alt+Insert. From the Visual Aid menu, select Replace All Xml Tags. Choose an identifier and press Enter to finish or Esc to abort the operation.
The replaceData() method replaces data in a text node.
