The Submit Documents button is not available until you have uploaded every required document for every visa applicant listed in the Civil Documents tab, and for every financial sponsor in the Affidavit of Support tab. If the status of any required document is Missing, you cannot press the Submit Documents button.
We recommend completing Affidavit of Support forms on a computer or typewriter, with answers typed in CAPITAL letters. After the form is completed, upload, and submit the signed form to NVC via CEAC along with the sponsors supporting financial evidence.
To submit documents, log into CEAC and go to the Start Now buttons located under Affidavit of Support Documents and Civil Documents. When you have uploaded all the required documents for each section, press Submit Documents.
File Size and Type Each individual file (scanned document) must be no larger than 2 MB (megabytes). If your scanned image is too large, compress it before uploading it. Zipped files will not be accepted for uploading. Scan each document as a separate file.
To upload additional financial documents or add a joint sponsor, you will start on the Affidavit of Support Tab. From this page you can add a new sponsor or a household member. When adding or updating financial documents, you have to first choose the sponsor whose documents you are uploading from the drop-down list.
Ideally, you should make sure that all of your information is correct the first time. However, if you discover a mistake after submitting your DS-260, you may simply inform the consular officer at your interview about the mistake and ask to have it corrected at that time.
Document review takes 13 days Time until documents submitted on CEAC are reviewed by NVC.
