When a Contract is generated by Salesforce CPQ, the Quote (or Orders) Start Date and Subscription Term or End Date are used to calculate and populate the Contracts Start Date and End Date. Then the Contract Term is populated with the difference between the months of the Contract Start Date and Contract End Date.
The specified string should use the standard date format yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss in the local time zone.
To convert a string to a Date/Time value, use DATETIMEVALUE() passing in a string in the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.
Standardize Date Formats On the column header of the dimension field, click . Select Format Dates. If a date format isnt detected, enter it in the Original Formats box. To convert a dimension field with dates to a date field type, select Convert field type to date. Select the desired date format in the Change To field.
Some functions (such as YEAR(), MONTH(), and DAY()) also only work on Date values, so Date/Time values must be converted first. Use the DATEVALUE( date/time ) function to return the Date value of a Date/Time. For example, to get the year from a Date/Time, use YEAR( DATEVALUE( date/time ) ) ).
You can convert a Date/Time to a Date by using the DATEVALUE() function, which takes a Date/Time or Text value and returns a Date. Similarly, DATETIMEVALUE() takes a Date or Text value and returns a Date/Time value, with the time set to midnight GMT.
Salesforce uses the ISO8601 format YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.SZ for date/time fields, which stores date/time in UTC.
