so this is a question from reddit the post is called wrong date formats in power query it says hello Excel world Ive extracted some online data into an Excel spreadsheet the problem is that the date format on the webpages text see the example below they show four columns we have a country column we have a date and you can see the format is three letters for the month then a slash and then the year then those two columns of values and they say the problem is when I bring this data from a web source into power query and into Excel its interpreting December 2019 its thinking this means December 19th in the current year which is 2020 so after talking to this poster a little bit you know what they actually want is this December 19 to show up as December 1st 2019 so if they also had January 20 they would want that to come in as January 1st 2020 so that will allow them to plot this data however they want in a line graph or a column chart and also summarize this data with formulas using thi
