A user can be a member of multiple groups with licenses. Here are some things to consider: Multiple licenses for the same product can overlap, and they result in all enabled services being applied to the user.
Find users with permission set licenses Click the Query Editor tab towards the bottom left. Copy and paste the following query in the Developer Console: SELECT Name, Id FROM User WHERE Id IN (SELECT AssigneeId FROM PermissionSetLicenseAssign WHERE PermissionSetLicense. Click Execute.
Assigning Licenses to a Group Go to the Azure AD blade and select Licenses. Next, select All products under manage and youll see a listing of the licenses available within your tenant. Select the license you want to work with (for this example, I selected E3) and then select Assign from the top of the menu.
To set the permission to expire at a specific point in time, select Specify the expiration date and select the specific Day/Week, or add a Custom Date by clicking on Custom Date and selecting the Time Zone ingly, and then click on the Assign button.
Go to the Azure AD blade and select Licenses. Next, select All products under manage and youll see a listing of the licenses available within your tenant. Select the license you want to work with (for this example, I selected E3) and then select Assign from the top of the menu.
Azure AD paid licenses are built on top of your existing free directory. The licenses provide self-service, enhanced monitoring, security reporting, and secure access for your mobile users. For the pricing options of these licenses, see Azure Active Directory Pricing.
To assign a license to a user After you select the license plan, select Assign. On the Assign page, select Users and groups, and then search for and select the user youre assigning the license. Select Assignment options, make sure you have the appropriate license options turned on, and then select OK.
Licenses can be assigned to any security group in Azure AD. Security groups can be synced from on-premises, by using Azure AD Connect. You can also create security groups directly in Azure AD (also called cloud-only groups), or automatically via the Azure AD dynamic group feature.
