[Music] hey everybody hows it going this is Eric Parker with one number Tableau experts and in todays quick tip video what I want to cover with you is how do you change the field name of a date field in a cross tab so let me just pop over to this worksheet here where Ive got some sales and profit by order customer name and lets say I just want to drop another column after order ID thats just uh order date okay month day year border date so my quick handy shortcut way of doing that is to right click and drag that date field Im going to drop it on the row shelf and Im going to ask for the mdy month day year formatting I say blah blah you sure you want to do this yes Tableau Im sure thanks for double checking though and when you do this yeah it gives us the date that we want but it gives you this really long name right month day year of order date and so my options is basically just make this a ridiculously wide column or is there a way that I could change the name of this column
